RIALTO SQUARE THEATER
The Joliet Theatre was then used as a movie theatre and organized more than 100 events each year.
You can't pass in front of the Rialto without noticing its beautiful facade where the antique and neoclassical styles of the eighteenth century are mixed. The theater was inaugurated in 1926 (the year Route 66 was born) and was also used at the time as a movie theater. The interior is really worth the visit. There are some French inspirations: the hall and its mirrors could remind of Versailles; the arch between the entrance and the interior rotunda has a vague resemblance with our triumphal arch. More than a hundred events take place here every year.
