Formerly Odell's disused gas station saved by the city and turned into a small museum.
In 1890, the Standard Oil Company established its first company in Illinois. In 1932, an entrepreneur, Patrick O'Donnell, purchased a small parcel of land along Route 66 in Odell. There, he built this service station based on a typical design put in place by the 1916 Standard Oil of Ohio. There is a lot of memorabilia in this station which was open from 1932 to 1975 and became a small museum after its restoration by the Illinois Route 66 Association.
