This is one of the largest annual gatherings dedicated to Route 66. More than 2,000 vintage vehicles (American cars, of course) gather in Springfield, the state capital, for a truly exceptional weekend of celebration. The usual menu includes live music, the Miss Mother Road contest and election, the Old Capitol Farmers Market and a multitude of activities including the Burnout Competition, which attracts a large audience.
