Simple residence with a library on the first floor displaying selections from its Japanese print collection
In 1902, Frank Lloyd Wright was commissioned to design and remodel the family home of Susan Lawrence Dana. The house would become a showcase of a certain architecture with its 35 rooms on three levels. Wright designed approximately 450 art glass windows, skylights, door panels, sconces and light fixtures, most of which survive. The upper level was used for musical entertainment, and on the first floor the library contains easels designed by Wright for Dana's Japanese print collection.
