This café was founded in 1924 by a Greek immigrant, Pete Adam in Carlinville. It moved to Lichtfield in 1929 and then to its current location in 1935. It is one of the oldest cafes on Route 66. Its brick facade is period but the entrance has been renovated. The interior has kept some elements of the 1930s. The food here is classic American cuisine, but really delicious. The buffet of cold starters is composed of excellent fresh and well-seasoned products. As for the soups, they are to be tasted without hesitation.
