Visitor's Center hosting a free exhibit to discover some local artifacts related to the history of the Mother Road.
David Jackson, editor of the Litchfield News Herald, wanted Litchfield to have a museum to preserve its history. Unfortunately, he didn't live to see the museum become a reality and it was his wife, daughter and a group of volunteers who made his dream a reality in 2013. The museum features maps and drawings by Bob Waldmire, a sign of the original Route 66, a gas pump, an old car and many old photos, among other things.
