Station built in 1926 by Henry Soulsby at Mount Olive.
Henry Soulsby built this station in 1926 at the advent of Route 66 and after an injury forced him to leave the mining industry. He operated it, gradually taken over by his children Russell and Ola, for many years. Russell and Ola closed the doors in 1993 and sold the resort in 1997 to a neighbor. In 2004, the National Park Service awarded grants to restore the site. Today, the resort looks like it did in its post-World War II heyday.
