This café was built in 1924, two years before the creation of Route 66. It is known to have been frequented by many thugs and gangsters, such as Al Capone. If the establishment functioned as a coffee shop on the main level, it hid a gambling den in its basement and a brothel upstairs. The neon sign outside, still visible, represents a cherry in a glass. It is said that if the cherry was lit, these ladies were available... Even if you are not hungry or thirsty, stop by this mythical café.
