The Museum of Jesse James in Stanton.
It is in the nearby network of caves, the Meramec Caverns, that the famous Jesse James would have found refuge during his career as an outlaw. The museum retraces his life with a few minutes of presentation film in English (without subtitles), various personal objects, some figurines and many documents. Was Jesse James shot by the coward Robert Ford in 1881 or did he live much longer under a false name and reveal his identity at the age of 103? This is the great mystery that the museum is putting forward.
