GASCONADE RIVER BRIDGE
Gasconade Rivier Bridge, built in the 1930s at Devil's Elbow.
Between Devil's Elbow and Lebanon, following the old Route 66 (without following the signs designating the Interstate as the only possible route), we find one of the mythical bridges of the Route and of the state: the Gasconade River Bridge. This bridge, built in the 1930s, was one of the road's must-see sites. Today, it is in danger of collapsing and the State has imposed its closure to all traffic. You will not be able to cross it but at best to approach it. A collective was created to try to save this monument of the Mother Road
