RED OAK II
Buildings preserved in Carthage, displaying collectible plates and figurines of Lowell Davis farm life
Although he is known worldwide for his collectible plates and farm life figures, Lowell Davis, who grew up in the "real" Red Oak, has spent more than a decade remounting a 1930s town about 20 miles from its original location. The buildings have been preserved as a credible replica of a crossroads town, from the Phillips 66 gas station to the church to the old streetcar. After touring the buildings at Red Oak II, be sure to visit the coffee shop and General Store where the artist has an exhibit.
