66 DRIVE-IN THEATRE
Inaugurated in 1949, this theater is now one of the must-see attractions on Route 66 in Carthage.
Opened in 1949, the Carthage Drive-In Theatre operated daily until 1985, shortly after Route 66 disappeared from the official road atlas. Bought back in 1995 and fully restored, it is now one of the must-see places on Route 66. You can see there again, comfortably curled up in your vehicle, very good movies projected on the giant screen... but only on weekends. The system of available places is based on the " First Come, First Served ". So there are no reservations possible.
