This family business on Route 66 is a local icon. Grant Clanton decided to open a restaurant called the Busy Bee Café in 1927. In 1930, the first Clanton's Cafe followed at the corner of Canadian and Van St. The current building, just around the corner, dates from 1947. After passing through several family members, Dennis and Melissa Clanton-Patrick took over the business in 1997. American cuisine is the order of the day here, with excellent burgers, fried chicken, steaks and hearty breakfasts.
