THE ARCADIA ROUND BARN
Barn that used to host parties and meetings in the village and that now houses a small exhibition about Route 66
There are only about twenty buildings of this type in the United States. The round shape of this building allows it to better resist the violent winds of tornadoes. Built in 1898, this barn was also used as a venue for town festivals and meetings. According to legend, its acoustics are so good that you can hear a pin drop at the other end of the room! The building, which collapsed in 1990, was restored in 1992. It now houses a small exhibition about Route 66 and a modest souvenir store. On the upper level, you can admire the very beautiful frame.
