The Oklahoma City Zoo is recognized as one of the top ten zoos in the United States. The zoo and its associated botanical gardens house fascinating animal and plant collections. Nearly 2,000 animals live here. Camel rides are available, as well as feeding of various animals, including giraffes and rhinos. The zoo's Amphitheater offers a wide variety of entertainment under the stars. In 2022, a new section, "Expedition Africa," was under construction.
