BLUE HOLE
Artesian well with crystal-clear water from a cave system at a depth of 24 meters in Santa Rosa.
After bringing popularity to the Blue Hole in the 1930s, Route 66, which passed by it at the time, was moved to its present location in 1937. The water in this clear artesian well comes from a cave system that is 24 meters deep. From a diameter of about 18 meters at the surface, the Blue Hole gradually widens until it reaches a diameter of 40 meters at its base. Its water is at a constant temperature of 16 °C. This particularity brings a large number of divers to visit the Blue Hole in winter.
