NEW MEXICO HISTORY MUSEUM
This museum houses permanent and temporary collections that allow visitors to learn about the lives of indigenous peoples
Opened in 2009, this museum is adjacent to the Governor's Palace. The permanent and temporary collections offer a look back at the lives of indigenous peoples, Spanish colonization, the Mexican period, and the trade and commerce conducted along the legendary Santa Fe Trail. More broadly, this museum serves as the base for a larger complex that includes the Governor's Palace, the Palace Press, and the Fray Angelico Chavez History Library.
