Historic hotel offering backpacker dorms and cabins on a ranch in Grand Canyon National Park.
The ranch was built in 1922. It can only be reached on foot, by mule (via the Kaibab Trail or the Bright Angel Trail), or by rafting from the nearby Colorado River. Dormitories are for backpackers only (2 of them are for men, 2 for women). 10 beds per dorm. The cabins are rustic and clean. These are the accommodations for those who have opted for the Overnight Mule Trip. The calm is absolute here. The Phantom Ranch offers breakfast, lunch and dinner.
