This trail connects Yavapai Point to Hermits Rest along the canyon rim, a distance of 21 km. It can be hiked from one end to the other or joined by any intermediate viewing area, as the road and shuttle buses are never far away. Most of the trail is paved and some sections are accessible. This is an excellent hike for viewing the interior canyon and for visitors who want an easy hike with minimal elevation gain. In winter, the surfaces can be slippery.
