TOROWEAP OVERLOOK
Remote location west of the Grand Canyon marked by river views, volcanic features and lava flows
Also known as Toroweap Point or simply Tuweep, this completely isolated spot on the west side of the Grand Canyon offers one of the most spectacular views of the river: 900 meters vertically above the river! Its volcanic features, cinder cones and lava flows make it a unique viewpoint in the park. Moreover, it is from here that the most beautiful photographs of the Grand Canyon are taken. In summer, this site can be very crowded. Ranger Station and first aid station. No services on site.
