The stone structure of this restaurant on 66 was built in the 1930s. The place was first a gas station, then a bar. When it was bought by a construction worker whose wife objected to the purchase of the "damn bar". The name stuck... and the Dambar eventually expanded into a restaurant before the Peterson-Burge family bought the business in 1996. The interior is as vintage as one could wish and one sits here to enjoy primarily very good meats. Salads, pastas and burgers are also on the menu.
