Museum inspired by the Spanish missions in Goffs with several machines and devices used in the mines outside
In 1990, this former schoolhouse built in 1914 was renovated by Dennis and Jo Ann Casebier to become a museum dedicated to the history of the eastern Mojave Desert. Outside, several pieces of machinery and equipment used in the mines are on display. The building, a massive wood-framed and plastered-over-steel-mesh structure, is unique in its Spanish mission-inspired style. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
