Amboy Crater is located 3.4 miles southwest of Amboy. It formed about 6,000 years ago, and numerous flows overflow widely from the area, extending to the highway 1.6 miles away. The cone is 76 meters high and has a diameter of 450 meters. You can get there on foot after leaving your car in a parking lot at the end of Crater Road. Count 3 hours of walk there and back. Be careful not to go to the west of the site, which is military land. Picnic area and restrooms are available in the parking lot.
