BARSTOW HARVEY HOUSE
Simple unmanned passenger station in Barstow housing 2 museums and Chamber of Commerce offices
Also called Casa del Desiertio, this building was built in 1911 by architect Mary Colter for the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad, replacing another station destroyed by fire in 1908. The station was closed in 1973, becoming just a passenger station. The city acquired the building in 1990 and installed several museums of varying interest, including the Barstow Route 66 Mother Road Museum. It is also the location of the Chamber of Commerce offices. Amtrak trains still stop here.
