ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
Archaeological museum with relief decorations exhibiting a collection of objects discovered in Tinos.
A small museum that houses a rather interesting collection of objects found on the island. The island is also known for its pottery culture which dates back to the 7th century B.C. Observe the relief decorations and the unique style of the mythological scenes which highlight the beliefs of the time. Look out for the sundial from the temple of Poseidon, the bas-relief with the goddess Cybele, the marble dolphin, the Roman mosaics. For a long time, these objects were exported to the neighboring islands (Mykonos, Andros).
