JEREMIAH LEE MANSION
A 1768 building housing a museum that shows the daily life of the 18th century nobility in Marblehead.
We stop in front of the building for its architecture, we stay there for its collection of objects. Built in 1768 for one of the city's most important merchants, Jeremiah Lee, the building now houses a museum showing the daily life of the 18th century nobility. Almost everything in the house is original, from furniture to tapestries and everyday objects. During the guided tour you will take time to admire the wallpaper, which was hand-painted in the 18th century, and the Rococo style woodwork.
