Statue built not far from the Witch House to honor the actress Elizabeth Montgomery, in My beloved witch.
Not far from the Witch House, the "house of witches", was built the bronze statue of a witch of another kind, a "beloved" witch. Tribute is paid to the actress Elizabeth Montgomery, the unforgettable Samantha in the successful 1960s series Bewitched. The unveiling of the statue in 2005 provoked the anger of some residents who saw the tribute as an insult to the memory of those who were executed in Salem after being accused of witchcraft.
