HALIBUT POINT STATE PARK
Park offering guided tours and exhibits on the history of the site in Rockport.
Halibut Point State Park offers amazing natural landscapes. The granite cliffs (this one would be more than 440 million years old!) overlook the city and offer a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside and some of Maine's cities. Today it is the starting point for many hikes. Within the park, the Visitor Center offers guided tours and exhibits on the history of the site. A brochure, including a map of the park, is also available for download on the website.
