Built in 1749 for a widow, this historic Plymouth house is managed by the Plymouth Antiquarian Society. It is situated on the beautiful North Street and has a history spanning 200 years - several generations of the same family, the Spooners, have occupied the house during this period. The last member of the family to reside in the house was James Spooner, who left it in 1954 and bequeathed it as a museum with all his possessions. In 2008, a major renovation began and was completed in 2012.
