BELL FOREST
One of the most beautiful state-owned forests in the Perche region, with a surface area of 2,400 ha, renowned for its centuries-old forests
Known for its centuries-old forests, the Bellême state forest is one of the most beautiful in the Perche region. With a surface area of 2,400 hectares, its relief is undulating, thanks to the small streams that rise from or flow through it. The massif boasts some fifty ponds, making it an important network of wetlands. The Etang de la Herse, a listed site, is a fine example: the sight of trees reflected in the water is a magnificent spectacle, changing with the seasons. The forest offers a wealth of walking opportunities.
