OLD STURBRIDGE VILLAGE
Village where everything is there: farms, stores, craftsmen's workshops, school located in Sturbridge
It's all here: farms, stores, craftsmen's workshops, a schoolhouse and even the famous village tavern, where locals and visitors alike would gather for a meal and an alcoholic beverage. Many of the buildings that make up this living museum are historic and sourced from all over New England, while the rest have been faithfully recreated. The sawmill and gristmill in the northwest part of the village belonged to David Wight, the farmer who owned the land until the early 19th century.
