MILLYARD MUSEUM
A museum about the history of Manchester, housed in a former textile mill that was operated by the local company
This museum isn't very big, but it does a pretty good job of covering the history of Manchester. Using photos, stories and various objects, it focuses on the city's industrial boom, with an emphasis on the people who played a part in its development. The museum is housed in a former textile mill operated by the local Amoskeag Manufacturing Company. In the 19th century, Manchester's textile industry generated almost 17,000 jobs and attracted many immigrants, particularly from Quebec.
