Ornithology enthusiasts will meet at the Loon Center to discover the local wildlife, especially the wild ducks and geese that inhabit the lake and its surroundings. Walkers can take one of the Markus Wildfire Sanctuary trails, accessible year-round, through the forest to discover the local pigeons, ducks and birds. There is a small 1.8 mile trail that goes around the area. A great place to fill up with nature.
