GORGE FLUME
Center with an exceptional view of Mount Liberty and Mount Flume, offering a walking tour between waterfalls and forests
First of all, stop by the Visitor Center: it offers an exceptional view of Mount Liberty and Mount Flume. The less courageous choose to take a bus to the gorge, but you are encouraged to take this walk between beautiful waterfalls and maple forests. The gorge was discovered in 1808 and today you can follow the course of the river as it flows along the walls of the gorge some 30 metres high to reach the beautiful Avalanche Falls. The 1 hour and 15 minute hike is well worth the effort.
