OLD PORT
Active port with cafes, restaurants, stores and galleries, ideal for pleasant stops during a stroll
The port is still in operation and is one of the pillars of Portland's economic activity. While lobster fishermen still operate off the coast, the old 19th-century brick warehouses on the waterfront have been successfully converted. Today, they are one of the town's main attractions. Cafés, restaurants, boutiques and galleries have sprung up, making them pleasant stops on a stroll along the waterfront. We recommend strolling through the small streets between Commercial Street and Spring Street.
