BILLINGS FARM & MUSEUM
Restored farmhouse museum in Woodstock suggesting a tour to discover the history of Vermont's rural past
This farm museum tells the story of Vermont's rural past and boasts one of the state's finest dairy farms. Frederick Billings, founder in 1871 of the farm that still operates today, was an environmentalist ahead of his time, concerned with preserving the environment for future generations. Children can learn about the milk production process and get up close to the farm animals. The farm's main house dates back to 1890. Now restored, it can be visited to discover rural life in the 19th century.
