Gigantic open-air museum with an amazing collection of impressionist paintings and a real steamboat
Originally, only one small house was on the site. All the other buildings were moved from various locations in Vermont, forming a huge open-air museum. Begin your tour with the large central building - Electra Havemeyer Webb Memorial Building, which houses an amazing collection of Impressionist paintings and recreates five rooms from the apartment of the wealthy New Yorker who originally built the site. Also don't miss the Ticonderoga steamboat and the Stagecoach Inn's collection of Folk Art.

Le musée en plein air est très bien fait, il y a des expositions mais aussi des reconstitutions d'intérieur d habitations. C'est très varié et intéressant, animé par des bénévoles retraités avec qui on peut échanger. Il y a même une navette gratuite dans le parc et une cafétéria.
