CONNECTICUT STATE CAPITOL
Capitol overlooking Hartford, with a golden dome with twelve statues, housing the state's administrative offices.
It is impossible to miss this imposing building overlooking the city and not far from Bushnell Park. Built in 1878, the Capitol now houses the state government offices, while remaining open to the public. It is the third building to fulfill the role of capitol since the American War of Independence. It is notable for its golden dome surrounded by twelve statues, and topped by a dome that rises to 78 meters high.
