Yale's main library, with cathedral-like features and architecture in the Tudor and Gothic styles.
It is the main library of Yale and has all the characteristics of a cathedral. It is the work of architect James Gamble Rogers, a follower of the Collegiate Gothic movement, an architectural style that was inspired by Tudor and Gothic buildings in England in the construction of academic buildings. For this reason, many of Yale's buildings are newer than they look, such as this library, built in 1931.
