YALE UNIVERSITY ART GALLERY
Museum composed of three buildings dedicated to art, from antiquity to contemporary painting through the Italian Renaissance.
From Antiquity to contemporary painting and the Italian Renaissance, a visit to this museum is a must! These three buildings are also worth a visit. The first, Street Hall, dates from 1866 and is in neo-gothic style. Its architecture is inspired by the Venetian palaces of the 13th century. The second, Old Yale Art Gallery, dates from 1928. Finally, in 1953, the Louis Kahn Building, a block of glass and concrete, was built, the first modern building on the Yale campus.
