This museum retraces the fighting of August 15, 16 and 17, 1944 on the Chambois pocket (or Falaise-Argentan pocket), the last operation of the Battle of Normandy. The focus is on Operation Blackwater around the Noireau, which was the scene of a clash between the 43ᵉ Wessex British infantry division and German troops. The collections come from excavations on the battlefield or from donations. Near the museum: starting point for the "Berjou, August 1944" tour.
