An associative museum recounting the fighting of 15, 16, and 17 August 1944 (three days of the last operation of the Battle of Normandy).
This associative museum retraces the fighting of August 15, 16 and 17, 1944, during the last operation of the Battle of Normandy in August 1944 on the Chambois pocket (also known as the Falaise-Argentan pocket). The Noireau valley was the scene of a heavy clash between troops of the 43rd Wessex British Infantry Division and German troops. The collections come from excavations on the battlefield or from private donations. Near the museum is the starting point for the "Berjou, août 44" tour in the footsteps of the liberators.
