Agency organizing guided tours of Benefit Street with its impressive and sometimes eclectic buildings
The Rhode Island Historical Society offers guided tours of Benefit Street, one of the most historic streets in Providence founded in the mid-18th century. You'll learn about the impressive, sometimes eclectic-style buildings that line the street and make it look like an open-air museum. Some of its houses are open for a weekend visit in June for the Festival of Historic Houses. Guided tours last 90 minutes and are organized from June to October. The meeting point is the John Brown House Museum.
