RISD MUSEUM
Museum of Providence exhibiting an important collection of paintings and works of students, more or less zany
Associated with the city's school of art and design, the RISD notably presents an important collection of paintings from the 20th century, including works by great artists such as Fernand Léger, Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso. Not to be missed: two sculptures by Rodin, one representing Honoré de Balzac, the other, The Hand of God or Creation, where the figures of Adam and Eve are intertwined in a large hand emerging from a block of marble. On the second floor are exhibited the works, more or less zany, of the students currently attending the school.
