Road with impressive clay cliffs with a trail with a more beautiful view of Block Island
South of the island, from Lakeside Drive, turn onto Mohegan Drive. This road along the ocean will take you to the Mohegan Bluffs point, which is made up of impressive clay cliffs rising to 46 m in height. You must park on the path that leads to the most beautiful viewpoint on the island. The Mohegan Trail runs along the coast for almost 7 miles. Nearby, the Southeast Light lighthouse also offers a nice view. The name comes from the Mohegans Indians who, after a lost battle against the Niantics in the 16th century, had to throw themselves off the cliffs.
