Renovated hotel with elegant colonial decor, comfortable rooms and views of the Vizcaya suspension bridge
Housed in a historic building, this recently renovated hotel offers privileged views of the Bizkaia suspension bridge. Founded in 1922 by an Indian who made his fortune in Cuba, the hotel boasts elegant colonial-inspired decoration. It offers a total of 74 very comfortable rooms, some of which overlook the ria and the bridge. Its restaurant El Paladar de La Habana serves beautiful creative cuisine with Latin influences as well as pintxos.

Jambon au top (normal c’est Joselito), tartare de thon super épicé, txistorra pas assez cuite, boudin noir idem à tel point que nous ne l’avons pas mangé. La carte des champagnes est bien pensée, le service un peu moins… La serveuse nous a fait tomber la première bouteille en l’ouvrant. J’ai pris une douche au champagne. Il y a pire certains dirait ! L’assiette de fromage Était sympa, l’infusion est bio et le café est bon. Bémol, on s’est fait quasi mettre dehors à 23 h 30. Faut croire qu’a Bilbao ce n’est pas l’Espagne.
Au final, avis mitigé.
