URKIOLA SANTUARIO
This catholic temple erected on the pass of Urkiola, is surrounded by an enchanting mountain landscape
A place of veneration for Sant Antonio Abad and Sant Antonio de Padua, this Catholic temple erected on the Urkiola pass is surrounded by an enchanting mountain landscape. Nothing remains of the first sanctuary built in the 13th century. The bell tower that can be seen today was built in a neomedieval style between the 19th and 20th centuries. Processions take place here several times a year, including the Saturday after St. Anthony of Padua in June and the last Saturday of August in honour of St. Roch.
