VILA FOZ HOTEL & SPA
Hotel in an oceanfront villa with spa, pool, modern and equipped rooms, some with ocean view.
It is in an old restored manor house at the edge of the ocean that we welcome you with softness for a great luxury stay. The rooms are perfectly integrated into the setting. Spacious, they are all elegant and spiced with a touch of modernity and design. Some have a wonderful view of the ocean. Guests have access to the villa's spa and pool, always a nice place to relax. The ultra-comprehensive breakfast is fabulous. Vila Foz also offers gourmet dining and a bar area. Luxury at a price...

1. The hotel only provides "complimentary water" (a 500ml filtered water that probably worth €1 maximum) once a day. After you finish the bottle they will not provide refill of the water, instead, they "kindly" ask you to order room service and purchase sparkling and still water for 5x the retail price. Have to say I've never had this experience in any other 5 star hotels
2. The housekeeping staff are extremely rude and unhelpful
3. Sommelier at the Vila Foz Restaurante (1 michelin star) was extremely pushy in selling the wines. I asked to see the wine list but didn't fancy ordering anything becuase the list was short and overpriced, then she kept educating me and recommending her light body and full body red wines, "oaky" white wines. I very much thank her for the education but as a WSET level 4 holder I reckon I've got hold of the basic knowledge
