As its name suggests, this is the municipality's theater. Born in 1913, it has undergone several renovations and, most surprisingly, a change of location during the 20th century. Isabel Alves Costa (who died in 2009) was the theater's first director, with the name and location we know today. The program includes theater, dance, classical concerts, circus shows and café-concerts. A rich variety of performing arts to cultivate. And good news: for most shows, you don't need to speak Portuguese.
