YELLOW BUS TOURS
Transport network in Porto, convenient for those who are not on a tight budget.
Practical for those on a tight budget, those who don't have much time to spend in the city, and those who don't want to bother with the public transport network or walking. The formula is quite complete, with the same package:
Bus: 2 Hop On Hop Off bus routes are available: "Historic Porto", lasting around 2 hours, and the "Castles of Porto". The "Historic Porto" bus runs from 9am to 6pm. The "Castles of Porto" bus operates from 9.45 a.m. to 5.45 p.m. For a supplement to the basic ticket, you can also opt for the Yellow City Cruise combi, which combines both panoramic bus tours, a six-bridge cruise and a visit to the famous Calém wine cellars in a single ticket. A great option.
Tickets can be purchased directly on board the bus or at one of the many sales outlets in town. Departures are from Avenida dos Aliados. Check the tour timetable on the website.
Six Points Cruise: a 50-minute "Bridges of Porto" cruise on the Douro. Departing from Cais de Gaia, the boat passes under (or not far from) the city's six bridges. No guide on board.
Calém wine cellars: a guided tour (in French) of the Calém wine cellars is also available. During the tour, the guide explains the port wine-making process, with a tasting session at the end.
Audioguide in French.
Tours around Porto: Braga & Guimarães Tour or Douro Valley & Wine Tour, lasting an average of 9 hours.
