SÉ DO PORTO (CATHEDRAL)
This cathedral is worth a visit with its baroque interior. Its cloister from the 14th century presents beautiful azulejos paintings.
The fortress church that is this cathedral is worth more than a visit. Its massive exterior makes it very interesting, but its construction in Romanesque style has evolved over time. In the 18th century, several alterations were made to give the interior the baroque style of the time. An altar weighing several hundred kilos of silver is one of these modifications. The 14th century cloister combines a very pure gothic style with large paintings in azulejos. Its square, dominated by the façade of the Episcopal Palace, offers a beautiful view of the city.
